Want to Join?

Our One Star course is starting on Thursday 19th April 2012, with a possible second intake in June/July, subject to our capacity. Do get in touch if you miss the first session, and we will be able to advise our capacity to accept new comers on different weeks subject to our capacity. We're on the river Thursday evenings throughout the summer!!

Why are there only beginner courses once a year?

There’s really no better time to learn than in Spring and Summer when there’s plenty of daylight in the evenings, and the water’s warmed up. The club runs on an entirely voluntary basis, above and beyond everyone’s day job, and we can unfortunately only offer courses subject to our capacity.

How much does it cost?

The price for 2012 is £60.00 for Juniors (under 18) and £85.00 for adults.

The cost of the One Star Qualification includes the free use of all equipment needed, coaching over the summer in order to pass your One Star qualification and membership for a year. So as soon as you have your One Star Qualification, you are free to continue using all equipment, and to progress to further qualifications such as your Two Star and Three Star.

Can I book my course now?

Our courses are very popular, and are on a first come, first serve basis, subject to availability and to our capacity. We advise that you book your place(s) as soon as the new dates have been confirmed. To book your place simply download the booking form and return to the Membership Secretary in accordance with the instructions on the form.

Can you reserve me a place?

We regret that we don’t have capacity to reserve places. Bookings may only be accepted by having completed and returned the booking form and returning your payment to the Membership Secretary. If you miss this year's intake, please keep checking onwards from March 2013, and as soon as the dates are announced we would encourage you to book your place as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. We regret that we don’t have capacity to reserve places for future years, and most likely, the dates will not yet be confirmed, and nor will our coaching capacity.
