What is an eticket?

Have you ever bought a ticket for a low-cost airline? If so you will be familiar with the procedure, whereby you select and pay for your flight, and you then receive a Booking Reference Number by email. You might even get confirmation by text to your mobile telephone. This number is your electronic ticket, or eticket.

You take this number with you to the airport, and normally you don’t need it in any case, as you are already on their list at check-in – so you just prove your ID, and away you go!

So how does it work for LDCC?

Skiddle works in exactly the same way:

1)    You simply select your option from the drop down box and click 'Buy Tickets.'

2)    You will then be diverted to the Skiddle website to process secure payment.

3)    As soon as your payment is completed, you will instantly be sent your receipt/booking reference number – your eticket number. Please note that you won’t receive this if you do not provide the correct email address/mobile number.

4)    You will also automatically appear on our list as having paid – although we won’t need to see your passport to prove ID!

5)    Nice and easy for us – it goes straight into the LDCC bank account. And we know you’ve paid, or whether you’re attending or not, and don’t need to chase you!

Is it Secure?

Yes! Skiddle is an ‘Internet Shopping is Safe’ accredited retailer, with their online payment system using exactly the same security system as the banks (i.e it’s secured by Thawte). Incidentally they are also a Hitwise ‘Top 10 Website’ – so it’s really in their interests to be the top of the league table security wise too, otherwise they’d soon be losing business!

I don’t like computers. Can I book my ‘ticket’ by telephone?

Well yes actually you can. All tickets on sale with Skiddle can be booked over the phone using a credit or debit card, although it does cost a little more. If you prefer this option, give their Sales Hotline a call on 0844 884 29 20.

Can I get a refund?

If you did buy a ‘ticket’ and needed to cancel you would of course get a full refund of the ticket price. Unfortunately, the small additional cost of processing the online payment would not be refunded, as Skiddle will have already processed the payment online.

I need help!

If you do need any extra help, Skiddle are on hand. Give them a call on 0843 289 3333 during office hours or check-out their online help section.

What do they do with my email address and phone number?

They take this so they can send you your eticket number. If you give the wrong details, you won’t receive an eticket number (but actually it doesn’t entirely matter as we can see you’ve paid, you will automatically appear on our list).

You might also opt in for their updates if you fancy receiving information on what’s on gigs, clubs and music wise. If at anytime you wish to unsubscribe from any updates provided by Skiddle which you have opted to receive, click here.

Why’s it called a ‘ticket’? A pool session/fleece isn’t a ticket!!

Skiddle is normally in the business of selling tickets for gigs and club nights, music festivals, hotels, restaurant and more. This is why everything seems to be called a ‘ticket.’ They are providing this facility to LDCC free of charge as a favour (we know the Director!!).
