The club holds regular swimming pool sessions, these are usually held at Heysham Swimming pool.
These sessions are an ideal introduction to Kayaking and include basic strokes, capsize drill, warm water games and lots of fun.
At the enrolment evening you will be told when the next pool session is being held, it would be helpful if you could indicate if it is your intention to attend. This will ensure enough boats are available at the pool session.
All equipment and a qualified instructor are provided. However, even if you are not able to transport a kayak you must go to the club hut prior to the pool session (usually 1 hour before the stated time) to collect your equipment.
Cost is typically £5.00 (members), £6.50 (non-members) per person for a 1½-hour session (parents are welcome to come along and view).

If you need equipment please come to the Canoe Hut for 1pm. Please ensure the equipment is clean before you take it to the pool. Transport is limited so please be prepared to take equipment in/on your car. If this is a problem let the committee members know.
